Yes, the Live Call-In Show recorded on Sunday is at least on the website. And now, just for you, here it is. With Show Notes.

  • Tom sounds unusually clear this week, because he’s on a computer which doesn’t suck.
  • How much Science do you need to know to write Science Fiction?
  • We start taking calls. Whee!
  • We are joined by Euan Mumford, writer of Jump Leads #3 “Trojan Horse” and Turnus.
  • Joshua Jericho calls in to plug his new scifi webcomic, BlueStar Blues.
  • “Knock Knock.” / “Who’s there?” / “Doctor.”
  • “Is Chewbacca a Muslim?”
  • How Billy West recorded the voice of an effeminate C3P0-type robot in Futurama.
  • Aaron Lewis of Webcomics Beacon joins us.
  • We talk about Babylon 5 for a bit.
  • “TalkShoe has crashed!”
  • Euan talks about writing Jump Leads #3.
  • We sort-of trail off and talk about a load of rubbish at this point.

So there we are! We had a lot of fun and we’ll definitely be doing another call-in show at some point in the future. Thanks to everyone who participated!

  2. Hahah why did I miss this? This is great! In other news; knock knock! Also, Chewbacca is ahead of his time, trying to bridge three religions… Islam, Christianity and Jedi…ism. Also, congrats on the new mike, Tom. Also, it’s not the size of the boat, guys, it’s the motion of the ocean. You’ll be confusing the entire lot for quite a while.

All part of my evil plan… drat, did I say that aloud?

OPh my Gawd Cold Equations! I know that story! I read it in a vintage science fiction short story compilation. I didn’t read too much of that one though, mostly the one about space gypsies :3

  3. ooh wow I intermixed multiple jokes there, was too busy laughing my head off, anyway… not going to even try fixing this.

    Okay, I lied!

Right so I officially suck at running commentary. No one hire me as a race track announcer.
